Mara & Moss began with curiosity, a move to Africa, and a small idea that quickly grew, and keeps growing. What we found was something much bigger: incredibly talented people creating beautiful products with purpose, simply lacking access to a wider market.

We set out to change that.

From our base in the Rift Valley, we work with social entrepreneurs across Africa, many of them women-led, supporting them in building sustainable businesses through design, production, and mentorship. Through strong networks in Europe, we connect these makers to international markets,  creating real opportunity and lasting impact.

At the same time, we fell in love with the landscapes, the people, and a life lived closer to nature. Today, we also design bespoke safari experiences built on real relationships, authenticity, and deep local knowledge.

Everything we do is rooted in storytelling.

From colourful, handmade products,  often created using upcycled materials,  to meaningful travel experiences, we bring together Scandinavian simplicity and African craftsmanship in a way that connects worlds.
